Habitat for Humanity Ribbon Cutting

Today the Patuxent Habitat for Humanity held a ribbon cutting for their newest home. This home is the 21st build for Patuxent Habitat for Humanity and was considered a “Women Build” home. Commissioner Eric Colvin was honored to be present and represent the St. Mary’s County Commissioners for the ribbon cutting. During his remarks Eric observed how “a house is a building, but a home has the love of a family and a community, and this is a beautiful home!” Eric was able to attend the groundbreaking ceremony nine months ago at the start of the build, and the progress made since then is outstanding.

Congratulations to new home owner Erica Toye on this important accomplishment! This build was made possible through the generous donations of numerous local businesses and community partners and an incredible number of hours donated by community volunteers.
